As we cruise into our 20th year in the classic and collector car business, we’re excited to have this pretty killer ’55 back in the showroom. Like so many of our cars and customers, they come back to us after a few years. We sold this car about 4 years ago, and it has been very well kept during its time in a private collector’s garage.

This car is tight, with a solid body and excellent fit and finish. The paint, chrome, and overall condition are in great shape. The car was built 2,500 miles ago with a Smelding performance 383 stroker motor, featuring aluminum heads and a nice camshaft. It’s pumping a great sound through headers and a dual exhaust system with an X-pipe, giving it a quiet yet lumpy idle—just the way a classic tri-five should sound.

We’ve bought and sold tons of ‘55s over the years, and they’re always a timeless classic—especially finished in red and white. This one is equipped with a louvered hood, Muncie 4-speed, and Cragar wheels, giving it that old-school look and feel. But it also has a little modern flair, including disc brakes, an Ididit tilt steering column, new slick gauges, a stereo, and, to top it off, Vintage air-conditioning.
