As we begin our 20th year in the classic and muscle car business, we’re excited to present this stunning 1971 Chevelle Malibu. The Chevrolet Chevelle has been a wildly popular model for a variety of automobile enthusiasts since it was introduced in 1964. Whether you’re a cruiser, a lowrider, or a speed demon, there’s a Chevelle for everyone.
This beautiful 1971 Chevelle leans toward the ‘sleeper’ end of the spectrum, meaning it’s much quicker than it appears. While the ‘350’ fender callouts might suggest otherwise, the exhaust note gives a hint that this car is hiding something much more powerful. Originally an L65 350 (build sheet included), this beast is now powered by a 496 cubic inch big block Chevy engine, built by Vortecpro Racing and Machine in Colorado. This monster puts out over 650 horsepower, and it fits perfectly under the Black Cherry Metallic paint job—truly a velvet glove surrounding an iron fist.
The previous owner warned us, “Be careful. That car has an alter ego.” He went on to describe an instance when he was driving at 52 mph on a dry freeway, punched the gas, and barely managed to keep it straight!
