This outstanding 1954 Corvette is a fascinating look at where it all began. Virtually identical to the 1953 model, it represents the early days of Corvette’s journey. Today, it’s astonishing to realize that the Corvette of 2024 has over three times the horsepower and four times as many gears as this original 1954! Under the hood, you’ll find the numbers-matching 235 I6 with a 3×1 carb setup, the first engine ever used in a Corvette. This engine was replaced by the small block V8 in 1955, making this one of the most historically significant Corvettes. Additional features include an automatic transmission, Wonderbar radio, and 6.70-15 wide whitewall tires mounted on correct wheels with correct covers.

This Corvette is largely original, with a few exceptions such as a repainted hood and the usual consumables like tires and a new battery. After spending years in various collections, we had the engine refreshed, and the builder noted minimal wear, indicating very low mileage. The remaining paint displays some visible crazing, further confirming its originality. This piece of automotive history runs and drives beautifully and is guaranteed to turn heads wherever it goes.
